Dr. Rock Aikpon is Deputy National Coordinator of Benin’s National Malaria Control Programme and Associate Professor of Medical Entomology and Public Health. He is a specialist in vector-borne diseases and has dedicated his career to improving malaria prevention through evidence-based vector control strategies. Previously, he served as Head of the Integrated Vector Control Unit at the National Malaria Control Programme, where he led national efforts to evaluate and strengthen malaria vector control interventions. His research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of malaria vector control tools and interventions against malaria and arboviruses.
Combining research with programme implementation, Dr. Aikpon contributes to translating scientific evidence into national malaria control policies and strengthening vector control strategies across Benin.
