Dr. Mamadou Alpha Diallo is Associate Professor at Cheikh Anta Diop University and Principal Investigator at CIGASS. His research combines malaria epidemiology, genomics and operational research to strengthen malaria control and elimination strategies across Africa. A World Health Organization-certified consultant, he provides technical oversight for diagnostic quality assurance and therapeutic efficacy studies across the continent, supporting national treatment policy updates and monitoring antimalarial drug resistance. He also leads Senegal’s annual antimalarial efficacy monitoring programme and conducts genomic surveillance of malaria parasites. Through his research and capacity-building activities, Dr. Diallo is committed to strengthening African scientific leadership and ensuring that research evidence informs policy and investment decisions.
