Dr. Fatimata Bintou Sall is a physician and implementation researcher at the University of Thiès. Her work focuses on malaria chemoprevention, implementation research, and improving access to preventive interventions for pregnant women and children. Following medical and doctoral training in Senegal and France, she expanded her expertise through a master’s in public health specialising in epidemiology and implementation research. Her current research explores strategies to improve intermittent preventive treatment during pregnancy while addressing barriers such as drug resistance and health system challenges. Dr. Sall is committed to translating scientific evidence into practical solutions that strengthen community health and accelerate malaria elimination efforts.
