Ousmane Toure is a communications and advocacy professional with over a decade of experience across Africa’s development sector. He currently serves as Senior Advocacy and Communications Officer at Speak Up Africa, where he leads advocacy and strategic advocacy and communications efforts for the FLN Hub, a continental movement working to elevate foundational learning and numeracy as a political priority across Sub-Saharan Africa. The ambition is clear: ensuring that every child in this part of the world can read, write, and master basic mathematics with understanding and purpose.
Prior to this role, Ousmane worked with Nutrition International and the Natural Resource Governance Institute, leading communication strategies, stakeholder engagement and media relations initiatives. His professional experience also includes working with the British Embassy Dakar, the African Union Commission, WATHI – West Africa Think Tank and Social Change Factory.
He holds a master’s degree in Communications and Digital technologies from Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis and is fluent in English and French.
