Harness the Power of Media to Transform Behaviors and Support Citizen Engagement

Harness the Power of Media to Transform Behaviors and Support Citizen Engagement

Speak Up Africa leverages the influence of Africa’s best-known celebrities - artists, athletes, entertainers, political, faith and cultural icons - in scalable, high-profile mass media campaigns.

Africa’s pulse has quickened, infusing the continent with a new sense of vibrancy – from commercial promise, to more stable democratic governments, to a population increasingly connected through mobile and digital technology.

Our platforms  seize upon this momentum to reach millions with life saving messages that inspire individual action by the public, corporate action by the private sector, and government action in  the public sector by celebrating - in as high profile a way as possible - African ownership of the fight for child survival.

Catalyze the Engagement of Policymakers

Catalyze the Engagement of Policymakers

The momentum generated by Speak Up Africa’s campaigns serves as a powerful public accountability mechanism, enhancing transparency and encouraging governments to uphold their public commitments.

The Abuja Declaration

In 2001, African Union nations pledged to put the fight against disease at the forefront of their national development plans and increase government funding for health to at least 15% of annual budgets.

Senegal has made tremendous progress in recent years thanks to a concerted effort of all partners involved in the fight against malaria. It is important to maintain these achievements and continue our fight to put an end to all deaths due to this disease in our country.
— H.E Macky Sall, President of Senegal

  • OTC access to low osmolarity ORS and zinc.

  • Ensure ORS+Zinc is the primary treatment for diarrhea.

  • Removal of taxes and tariffs on critical health commodities.

Secure Resources

Secure Resources

The fight for health will only succeed if all sectors are fully engaged. Our platforms and experience offer a shared value proposition designed to unlock catalytic resources.

Public Sector

Speak Up Africa encourages increased African national budget allocation for healthcare, guides national leadership in use of available resources for health, and works with governments to identify and mobilize diverse international funding sources.

Private Sector

Speak Up Africa works with private sector companies to find the mutual interest required for large-scale corporate engagement.
